  35. DESCRIPTION
  36.     CompilAIBB is a collection of small files, called modules,
  37.     created with the AIBB software from Peter Lamonte Koop.
  38.  
  39.     AIBB (Amiga Intuition Based Benchmarks) enables you to :

  41.       1- Check the hardware and software setup of your Amiga :
  42.  
  43.         + processor kind : 68000, 68020, 68030, ...
  44.         + its frequency : 14 MHz, 33 MHz, ...
  45.         + possible presence of mathematics coprocessor
  46.         + specialized chipset identification : Agnus, Alice, ...
  47.         + possible presence of expansion boards
  48.         + Kickstart version, i.e. system version : 37.175, 40.63, ...
  49.         + system main libraries versions : exec.library,
  50.           graphics.library, ...
  51.         + Kickstart locations : ROM or RAM
  52.         + ...

  54.       2- Evaluate the computing performances of your Amiga and
  55.          compare it to others :
  56.  
  57.         + AIBB includes 20 different tests (integer, graphics,
  58.           floating point, memory access, ...)
  59.         + AIBB achieves comparisons by storing and retrieving the
  60.           results of these tests in a very small file : a module.
  61.  
  62.     This is the 1.0 version of CompilAIBB, constituted of modules
  63.     made with 6.0 or newer versions of AIBB. It features lots of
  64.     68030 accelerator boards for the A1200 and the A2000, 68040
  65.     accelerators boards for the A2000 and the A4000 and a 68060
  66.     prototype board for the A4000. Some boards are represented twice
  67.     or more with little differences as the Kickstart version,
  68.     Kickstart relocation, caches status, etc.

  70.     A big AmigaGuide documentation is provided with an inventory of
  71.     these modules and instructions to provide the author with new
  72.     ones.

  74. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
  75.     The AIBB modules require the 6.0 or newer version of AIBB.

  77.     The AmigaGuide documentation  require either the Amigaguide
  78.     software included in the 3.0 (V39) or 3.1 (V40) Amiga system
  79.     or the standalone Amigaguide V34 package.

  81.     Maximum efficiency can be obtained from the documentation if your
  82.     humour board is plugged in...

  99.     CompilAIBB may be freely distributed on condition that :

  102.          respected ;

  104.       2- the price asked for its diffusion is not more than usually
  105.          asked for Fish floppies ($3, 15 FF, etc) or CDs ($30, 200
  106.          FF, etc) ;

  108.       3- diffusion may stop immediately if asked so by the author.
